Ummmm .....
SOME of the 'protestors' went ANTIFA-style and were
not just 'protesting', but active attackers. There
WERE serious injuries and some deaths associated
with that event.
The 99% were just an enthused mob, followed the leaders
(which included some federal agents prompting things by
many reports) and poured into the Capitol. They didn't beat
up anyone, didn't set anything on fire, didn't smash - just
'occupied' as a political protest move. Same as decades of
leftist protests. The worst crime seemed to be some redneck
putting his uncultured ass in Pelosi's chair.
The USA constantly bashes little Fearless Leaders
around the world who go hawg wild after such
protests and destroy all participants. We have
no excuses for doing the same ourselves.
Trump refers to the Jan6 crowds as "hostages",
victims of govt oppression - made into 'examples'
to intimidate non-Wokies. Might differ a bit on
the exact details, but his choice of words is
not entirely inaccurate. Really took on the
look & feel of some 3rd-world debacle.
As for Mr. Rhodes ... still, maybe HE shouldn't
be back at the Capitol. As said, there WERE a
dangerous few and it's harder to forgive and
forget despite any XOs or pardons.
